Discovering the treasures of being a Christian

Sometimes I ask myself

'What even is life?'

I think I am not the only Christian. There are moments in life when you think life is so boring and you find yourself asking the reason for our existence.
When you even start realising that afterlife is everlasting and start wondering if heaven is not going to be boring after a while.
When you have moments you feel that as a Christian you are not allowed to do 'fun stuff'.
When you find yourself trying your hardest to be perfect in God's eyes and not to make the slightest mistake in these end times.
When you don't even miss your past, when you didn't have Christ, but you reflect back on your life and notice that even without Christ, life seems so pointless.
When you realise that being a Christian can be fun. That the moment you swap out your old ways to the new ways you can find this perfect peace.
When you swap worldly songs to Christian songs, worldly books to reading the Bible and even try to spend more time away from social media and investing your time in building your relationship with God.
When you find out that you can never know enough about God, and that the more time you spend with God, the more hidden treasures are discovered.
When you realise that being a Christian is fun when you stop seeing serving God as a duty, but a free will.
When you are not doing it in fear of going to hell, but when you focus on what Jesus did for you and realise that what Jesus did for you is a gift and you only need to accept it.
When you realise that building a relationship with God requires communication.
When you realise that praying is not the only form of communication with God and that reading the Bible and meditating on His word is a form of communication as well.
When you realise that when you serve God, you should do it whole heartidely.
When you discover that when you realise this, you reveal the treasures God has kept for His people. The Bible says that 'In His Presence there is joy' and as we find ourselves in God's presence and doing what He wants us to do, we find that life is not pointless after all...
